Step 1: Sign In and Start a New Project

This will open up a blank video project where you can start working on your video.

Step 2: Upload Your Video Files

After starting your project, you'll need to upload the video files you want to edit. Click on the "Uploads" tab on the left sidebar, which will bring up the upload panel. Click the "Upload media" button, and a file browser will open, allowing you to select the video files from your computer. Once selected, your videos will start uploading to Canva. This might take a few minutes depending on the file size and your internet speed. Once uploaded, you’ll see your video files in the "Uploads" tab.

Step 3: Add Your Video to the Timeline

With your videos uploaded, it’s time to start editing. Drag and drop your video clips from the "Uploads" tab onto the timeline at the bottom of the screen. To sync the subtitles with the audio, move the text box along the timeline to the point where the corresponding dialogue begins. Adjust the duration of the text box by dragging its ends to match the length of the spoken words. Once you're satisfied with your subtitles and overall video, it's time to export your project. Click the "Download" button at the top right corner of the screen.
